I appreciate the reply...I'm inclined to go with the penta; the Sweetgrass folks are pretty hot on the penta taper. My only concern is moving away from a traditional taper.

Hi - Saw your post re sweetgrass penta 5wt 8'3"...I'm thinking about the same rod - penta over hex. Did you go ahead with your order? Any insights?
